TECH THERAPIES: RED LIGHT THERAPY
WHAT IS RED LIGHT THERAPY?
Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to support cellular energy production, tissue repair, and inflammation modulation.
At Inner Space, red light therapy is delivered in a structured clinical setting using professional-grade panels designed to penetrate tissue and support whole-body recovery.
This is not cosmetic-only light exposure. It is targeted cellular support.
HOW RED LIGHT THERAPY AFFECTS THE BODY + NERVOUS SYSTEM
Red and near-infrared light interact with mitochondria, the energy-producing structures within your cells. When mitochondria absorb these wavelengths, ATP production (cellular energy) may increase.
Improved cellular energy can support:
Tissue repair
Circulation
Inflammation regulation
Muscle recovery
Skin regeneration
Red light therapy has also been studied for its role in reducing oxidative stress and supporting nervous system balance.
In practical terms, you may notice:
Reduced muscle soreness
Improved skin tone
Faster recovery
Decreased joint stiffness
A subtle sense of overall restoration
Photobiomodulation research has demonstrated measurable effects on mitochondrial function and inflammatory response pathways.
BENEFITS OF RED LIGHT THERAPY
Red light therapy may support:
Inflammation reduction
Muscle recovery
Joint comfort
Circulatory function
Skin clarity and collagen production
Nervous system regulation
Cellular energy optimization
Clinical studies on photobiomodulation suggest benefits for tissue healing, wound repair, and recovery physiology.
WHO RED LIGHT THERAPY IS BEST FOR
Red light therapy may be appropriate if you:
Experience chronic inflammation
Have muscle soreness or joint stiffness
Are recovering from physical training
Want skin support without invasive procedures
Are integrating therapy with IV, peptide, or bodywork sessions
Seek structured recovery support
It is especially supportive for individuals navigating high stress, athletic strain, or aging-related tissue changes.
This Therapy May Not Be Appropriate If:
You are taking photosensitizing medications
You have active skin infections in treatment areas
You have a condition requiring light exposure restriction
You have been advised to avoid light-based therapies
Consult your healthcare provider if you are unsure.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SESSION
Sessions typically last 10–20 minutes.
You will lie comfortably on a padded red light therapy bed while panels positioned above, below, and over the face deliver red and near-infrared light simultaneously. This full-body configuration allows for consistent light exposure across multiple tissue layers. Our clinical-grade equipment delivers consistent therapeutic wavelengths, not cosmetic light exposure.
The light produces a gentle, radiant warmth. It should feel soothing, not hot or uncomfortable. Protective eyewear is provided, and the face panel is designed to deliver light evenly without pressure or contact.
Most clients describe the experience as calming and restorative. There is no downtime, and you may return to normal activity immediately after your session.
Hydration following treatment is recommended to support circulation and cellular response.
